TERMS AND CONDITIONS I conduct all enquiries and transactions with the aim of securing satisfied customers and generating mutual goodwill. The following information is provided to help achieve these objectives. The majority of items I offer for sale on ebay are antique and may show some signs of imperfection and wear. I do my best to describe each item thoroughly and accurately, to state any defects and to display appropriate photographs. I uphold the rules of most traditional auctions, so please understand that items are not sold on approval. All sales are final and no returns or refunds are accepted unless I ascertain that the item has been grossly mis-described. It is therefore beneficial for you to feel confident about the item upon which you are bidding. I reserve the right to decline bids from multi negative feedback holders and also to reject bids for any reason that causes me to think that a successful completion of the transaction might be in jeopardy. Please note that buyers are wholly responsible for any customs, duty and other local charges imposed by authorities or agencies within the buyer's home territory. Where buyers request a delivery service different from the standard service that I would usually select for the shipment, I will endeavour to arrange this if possible and the buyer will be charged for any additional costs of their requested service. Please also note that I may need to add a small administration charge for arranging any such non standard delivery service. Where the buyer agrees to pay an additional insurance charge for the shipment, please note that the buyer must immediately notify me in the unlikely event that they discover the shipment has suffered any loss or damage in transit. The buyer must also provide all relevant evidence in support of their claim. In all such cases I will use my best endeavours to secure a satisfactory claim result but this decision will ultimately be made by the shipping company or the insurer. In the event of a claim for a full refund where damage has been sustained in transit, please note that under no circumstances will any reimbursement to the buyer be considered unless or until the damaged item together with its original packaging has been returned to and inspected by me. Where the buyer has not agreed to pay an additional insurance charge for the shipment, the buyer accepts full liability for any loss or damage suffered in transit. However, in the interests of mutual goodwill I will always use my best endeavours in such cases to make representations to the shipper on behalf of the buyer.
